On March 15, the long expected first reading party session was held at last. Book lovers from all circles or life and social strata gathered to explore the significance of reading books and exchanging the benefits from reading.

   Here, everybody is both a lecturer and a leader of thinking, and everybody can lead all others to swim in the ocean of knowledge.The reading party is not only about reading books. If you like, you can share a film with the audience present, and talk about your reflection after seeing a film, you can recite a favorite article, make the audience listen to your story. III. Discussion

   People on the site are divided into four groups, and each group discusses about significance of reading.One of the groups discussed warmly. Xiaojia shared her takeaway from reading: I usually read three kinds of books: game books, tool books and books I’m interested in.I read game books so that I have common topics with few friends and we talk about strategies with each other.I read tool books to improve my working efficiency, for example, I learn and some excel skills.Moreover, I read some books I show interest in. For instance, I read Freakonomics and Sharing Economy recently, from which I accumulate more materials so that I have more topics while communicating with others and enhance my personal cohesive force.

IV. Sharing

 

      Xiaojia: Reading makes a person establish his self-confidence, enhance his personal charm, reading is to read stories and increase the common ground in communication with others.

      Xiaomai: Reading makes us realize impact of language on a person. For example, the book Non-violence Communication enables me to know that we need to observe, feel and put forth our needs when we are facing a non-violence communication phenomenon.

      Xiaomo: Reading a book of different subject matter is like opening the gate to another world.

      Xiaojie: Reading the same book at different periods brings us different gains, and different people have different opinions on the same book.

      Xiaoqin: We all know that people speak to influence on the audience, affect subsequent behaviors of the latter, and different ways of communication cause the audience to act differently. From Romance of the Three Kingdoms, we learn how to communicate with other people, and we learn from decision makers there how they manage their business, learn from them how to behave in the society and to be a man-of-virtue.

V.Recommendation of books for this issue

    The Crowd: A Study of the Popular Mind is a masterpiece, true to its name. In this book, the author points out that modern life has gradually become a gathering of people. Once an individual enters a group, his personality falls into oblivion, thought of the group dominates, behaviors of the group tend to be repulsive of dissent, extreme, emotional and low witted, and hence it produces destructive impact on the society.
