Regional Central Cooling
The long-term cooling supply capacity at the Zhujiang New Town central cooling project is 120,000 tons. Applying ice storage technology, phase 1 of the project is with 20,000 tons of cooling capacity, constructing a leading domestic underground cooling supply center, which can satisfy the cooling demands of roughly 1 million square meters of construction area. The construction of the second phase of the project has now been initiated. It features an installed design capacity of 20,000 tons. The total cooling capacity for the first and second phases has now reached 40,000 tons.
The cooling station has been running safely for more than 5 years. The expected peak load shifting effect has now been realized to reduce the pressure on the power supply needed for the core area of the building complex in the summer.
